Five injured in Shrewsbury traffic accidentRSS Feed
Five people are recovering after suffering injuries in a traffic accident in Shrewsbury.
An elderly driver of a Rover car is believed to have lost control while trying to reverse down Claremont Hill, reports the Shropshire Star, before crashing into a construction hoarding around Claremont Baptist Church.
Two casualties were taken to hospital with potentially serious injuries, according to the newspaper, while two other teenagers and a young boy escaped with less severe knocks.
The news comes after research by moneysupermarket.com suggested that the majority of drivers would be happy to take a National Speed Awareness course as an alternative to receiving penalties for speeding.
While more than half said this would help to keep their insurance premiums to a minimum, 14 per cent noted that it would help to educate them on road safety.
