Hangover II stunt double makes accident claims

A stunt double is making accident claims against Warner Brothers after he was injured in an accident at work during the filming of The Hangover: Part II.

Australian Scott McLean, who played Ed Helms' stunt double in the film, has alleged the studio was negligent during the Bangkok car chase scene in which he was injured.

He was put in a medically induced coma for two months and is currently residing in a Sydney rehabilitation clinic.

The stunt man was left with permanent brain injuries and now suffers from seizures, speech impediments and other physical injuries, according to the papers filed in Los Angeles.

It was claimed that stunt coordinator Russell Solberg changed the timing of the stunt at the last minute.

Mr McLean was an experienced stunt double, having previously starred in blockbusters including Superman Returns, The Matrix Reloaded and Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.
