Family 'lucky to escape five car pile-up'RSS Feed
A family suffered cuts and bruises after a traffic accident on a country road.
Helen Menhinick was on the way to a friend's house with her two young sons when the traffic accident occurred, reports the Daily Mail.
Four cars hit the Honda Civic on a country road, trapping 41-year-old Ms Menhinick in the wreckage.
Her sons Jim, 13, and Ted,9, managed to escape from the car themselves.
Ms Menhinick told the newspaper that all involved were "very lucky" to get out alive.
"Afterwards I just hugged my lovely boys and I'm so thankful we are still here. It really is a miracle, I look at the pictures and can't believe we got out of there," she said.
In other news, research from Confused.com has revealed that almost one-third of drivers have had a traffic accident or a near miss on the roads due to a slow driver.
