Two killed and three injured in car accidentRSS Feed
Two teenagers have been killed and three injured in a traffic accident, after a car overturned on a notorious stretch of road near Bridgend, South Wales.
Speaking to the Western Mail, local councillor Hywel Miles Williams described the location of the accident as a "nasty stretch of road" and said it has "claimed a number of lives over the years".
In 2008 Neil Rees suffered fatal injuries when he lost control of his car on the same road and the location is well known for being dangerous for drivers.
Due to this reputation for fatal accidents, the speed limit had recently been reduced from 60mph to 40mph on the stretch of road.
The five men were travelling in a white Vauxhall Corsa on the A4061's Blackmill Bends when it overturned.
They were thought to have been in Bridgend centre the night before the crash and the police are appealing for witnesses.
Councillor Williams added: "I wouldn’t want to speculate what happened, but if something goes wrong on that road, it’s a nasty road for it to go wrong on."
