Two die in motorcycle accident

Two men were killed at the weekend (Sunday August 29th) in a motorcycle accident in Lincolnshire.

Driving a red Honda CBR, Jonathan Kiely and his passenger Corby Glen, 43 and 31 years old respectively, died at the scene on the A52 near the Prince William of Gloucester Barracks.

Another two men, who were in the Fiat Punto that the bike crashed into, were taken to hospital with suspected spinal injuries that are not thought to be life threatening.

Also on Sunday, a husband and wife were killed in a traffic accident on the A9 in the Highlands of Scotland.

Peter and Jacqueline Corris, both in their fifties, were killed in a motorcycle accident just south of Dalwhinnie that also saw four others injured.

A total of six people were killed over the weekend on the roads in Scotland, where traffic death numbers fell last year to the lowest level since records began.
