Teenager 'makes accident claims against friend's family'RSS Feed
A teenager who sustained terrible head and spinal injuries after an accident at a pool party is making accident claims of £6 million against her friend's family, according to reports.
Kylie Grimes, who was 18 at the time of the accident, is only able to move using a specialised wheelchair after diving into her friend's pool and hitting her head on the bottom, reports the Daily Telegraph.
She is making the accident claims against her former friend's father David Hawkins on the basis that there were no signs around the pool warning that guests should not dive.
In addition, Ms Grimes is also bringing an accident claims case against managers of the trust which runs Frimley Park hospital, saying that the treatment she received contributed to her disabilities.
This comes after news that a farm worker who sustained extensive burns and had to have his big toe amputated after an accident at work, has won his accident claims case.
