Oil company wins accident claims awardRSS Feed
A multinational oil company has been rewarded for its impressive health and safety performance over recent years.
Expro was awarded a gold medal at the latest Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) awards to recognise six years of achievement, reports Your Industry News.
The prize was awarded after the company was an oil and gas sector award winner for four consecutive years as well as having received two special gold awards.
David Rawlins, RoSPA's awards manager, said organisations that protect the health and wellbeing of their employees and stakeholders deserve to receive recognition for their efforts.
"As well as there being clear ethical reasons and legal requirements for good health and safety management, there is also a strong business case," he added.
RoSPA is a registered charity that for more than 90 years has been promoting safety and the prevention of accidents at work, at leisure, on the road and in the home.
