Motorcycle traffic accident claims lifeRSS Feed
Fears over accident claims and motorbike safety were raised after a man was killed in a motorcycle accident in Northern Ireland.
A 41-year-old biker was killed in a collision with two other vehicles on the Crumlin Road on the outskirts of Belfast while out riding with other motorcyclists.
The accident occurred very near to the Horseshoe Bend traffic accident blackspot.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the motorbike riders on the Ballyutoag Road or the Crumlin Road prior to the incident.
It is though that a car and van were the other two vehicles involved and the three people travelling in those vehicles were uninjured following the traffic accident.
The news follows the death of a motorcycle racer south of the border in Dublin at the Skerries 100 road race.
Father-of-two Myles Byrne died in the accident that also resulted in a spectator suffering broken bones after being hit by the flying bike.
