Hygiene conference could lower accident claims riskRSS Feed
A conference focusing on occupational health and hygiene could help to raise awareness of the accident claims risk in certain workplace settings.
This year's British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) Annual Conference will take place at Harrogate's Majestic Hotel from April 27th until 29th.
Over the course of the three days, attendees will be treated to addresses delivered by keynote speakers along with sessions covering all major and emerging issues in occupational health and hygiene, as well as a wide range of topical workshops.
Ben Goldacre, the award-winning broadcaster, doctor and writer of the Guardian's Bad Science column, will be on hand to deliver this year's Warner Lecture.
"The event is a major international conference that brings together researchers, practitioners, regulators and business leaders to discuss occupational health and hygiene issues that affect work," reports the Health and Safety Executive website.
Earlier this month, organisations were urged to make health and safety a priority amid claims that failure to do so costs businesses millions of pounds each year.
In an article for FreshBusinessThinking.com, Josh Hall said all organisations should prioritise health and safety, whatever type of business they are involved in.
