Family of crash victim tell drivers: 'switch off phones'RSS Feed
The family of a woman killed in a traffic accident while texting at the wheel has warned of the dangers of doing so.
Tracy Wale, a criminology and health graduate, was on her way to move into a flat with her partner when she collided with two cars.
The Northampton University graduate was thought to be typing a text message while driving when she veered into oncoming traffic.
Her relatives issued a warning following an inquest, saying: "It was a terrible accident with terrible consequences and there is no getting away from the fact that using a mobile whilst driving can kill."
"If anything good can come out of our daughter's death, we urge people to switch phones off before getting into a car."
Ms Wale was about to start a control room job with Thames Valley Police at the time of the incident.
