Accident claims campaign launched in south-east EnglandRSS Feed
Accident claims are at the top of the agenda as part of a new campaign to offer advice and support to businesses in the south-east of England.
The Estates Excellent project, which is being spearheaded by a host of organisations that have joined forces with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), aims to provide help both to businesses and staff.
Specially-trained experts will visit small and medium-sized companies on industrial estates in the Slough area between April 19th and 30th, when they will offer free workshops and training sessions tailored to the firms' individual needs, to be delivered in May.
Partners in the scheme include Slough Borough Council, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, the Federation of Small Businesses and other local commerce groups.
"Health and safety at work is paramount and I would urge anyone with a business in the town to get involved in the project," said councillor Shafiq Chaudhry, commissioner for community and leisure in Slough.
In other news, the HSE has launched a new online tool to help organisations reduce the likelihood of their employees suffering from musculoskeletal disorders of the upper limbs associated with repetitive tasks.
