Accident claims advice on offer at health and safety courseRSS Feed
Businesses in the Midlands area could benefit from accident claims advice that will be on offer as part of a new health and safety course.
Health & Safety Laboratory (HSL) will deliver the one-day training course at Harpur Hill in Buxton, Derbyshire, on April 26th.
The course, which is entitled Behaviour Change: Improving Health and Safety Performance, will focus on risk-taking in the workplace and what employers can do to constrain the potential costs to the business.
HSL psychologists will take attendees through areas such as why employees take risks, strategies to encourage safer working practices and how to implement and maintain programmes of change.
The course costs £395 plus VAT per person, inclusive of notes, lunch and refreshments, and is aimed primarily at health and safety managers with limited knowledge of behaviour change approaches.
HSL was originally set up to help the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to minimise risks to people's health and safety at work, but more than 30 years on it now works with a wide range of public and private sector organisations as well as the HSE.
